Novel 3/5

In my book the main character Elliot has now become a Guardian in training. On one of his early morning swimming trips he meets the kid who is the primary victim of the Guardians... Ben. He seams kind of nervous to meet Elliot and trips over his words a lot. Also it seams that he is afraid of him because he will say something and then almost regret it and try and take it back with something more passive. Ben is now friends with Elliot and they hang out almost every weekend and Elliot helps him with his picture projects. Ben also comes from a family with a dead father, but in Ben's case his dad died in a military training exercise disaster. Ben and his dad did not see eye to eye in fact they hated each other, I think that this was good for Elliot to hear because he thinks his life is bad but he needed to hear Ben's story. I believe Elliot will be a good friend for Ben for the reason that he can relate and now that he is a Guardian he can help stop Ben from being bullied.
